It’s really accessible and does exactly what he says – the whole bonsai thing is complicated and full of rules. It’s more an instructional for specific arrangements, and less information about bonsai and horticulture and general, but a nice, and well-designed book. View large jacket keshuki. Nice pictures, but the supplies seem difficult to find outside of Japan. Each project is made with a wide variety of containers, from the most delicate, artisan clay pot to a repurposed blnsai and a simple box. The next ten projects add perennials to the mix, and the final projects have it all: Remove the pine from its nursery pot and clean away soil from the surface and roots with tweezers.
Now, for the first time, Western readers can join in creating these miniature masterpieces. After returning to Japan keshikl immersed himself in the study of bonsai and created the style he calls keshiki bonsai, or literally, landscape bonsai.
